•••• SELFRIDGES FESTIVAL BEAUTY BOX ••••

Hello everyone, Today I have my 3rd Beauty Box by Selfridges box to review and share my thought with you. If you don't know, Selfridges sometimes comes up with their Limited Edition Beauty Boxes available to buy for a limited time and tend to sell out really quick. I missed out on the last one and when I saw the promotion for this Festival Beauty Box, I made my mind up and decided to buy it when it releases and I did :)

As you can tell by looking at the picture above, I received many pretty goodies (11 items all together) in the Box and no wonder why the box felt quite heavy :) The box had £110 worth of products in there and priced at £25 which is fair enough but the down side was the postage and packaging for £4.99 :( as I don't have any Selfridges store around me, I therefore had to get it delivered to my home for £4.99. So the total cost for the box was £29.99

Now, lets have a look at the contents individually:

Bare Mineral Pretty Amazing Moxie Lip Gloss
As you can see from the swatch (first one) the texture is very thick with a little gloss, it's may not be the best shade by BM for me but glad to have received this product in my box.

Topshop Lip Crayon in Powder Room
I have been wanting to try Topshop product and I have swatched some in the store and was planning to buy some of their products. So I was happy to receive a Topshop product and the colour/shade was very similar to the bare mineral one but matte ofcourse.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal Metallic Cream
This product was one of the reason why I decided to buy this Beauty Box. I own 3 or 4 eyeshadows and don't currently own any silver'y  one and this has definately made into my in use collection. This will also work nicely as a base.

This glitter stick is perfect for festival sparkle. This can be used / applied anywhere on body. It smells very nice but not sure if I'd use this product though.

This product on it's own cost £17 and love the sparkle consistency and the texture. Love the look of the bottle ,dries up quickly and therefore would definitely purchase more from this brand in the future.

Colorsmash Hair Shadow in shade JE NE SAIS QUOI £10
This is the most exciting product of the box according to me as I have never tried a Hair shadow before. I might do a review on this product itself after applying it on my hair and share my experience with you :)

This envelop contains 3 temporary lip appliques that lasts up to 8 hours. Not too keen on trying this product only becuase I don't this is something I'd pick up to try.

Love Love Love this eyeliner! I own 3 other products by eyeko but thankfully didn't have the navy shade which I have received in this box. Quality, Application all great, right up on my street :)

This is a massive bottle received in this box. I normally save the cooling mist products to take on holiday as they are my best buddies during holiday period, Keeps my face and body nice and cool. So glad to have received this product too.

The last 2 products but certainly not the least are:

Cowshed Cow Slip hand gel 50ml

Mini Hand and Face wipes

Both of the products are going straight into my handbag :)

Overall, I am very pleased with this box and thought the money was worth it considering how many products I have discovered or re-discovered. I hope Selfridges bring on more boxes like this and I would definitely be purchasing more if the boxes are similar to this.

What do you think of the Festival Selfridges Beauty Box?
Did you manage to buy one?

••• TOO FACED BROW ENVY •••

Hello everyone, It feels like ages since I did my last blog post! So apologies for that as I've been busy with my UNI exams and looking out for a new job.

Anyway, This review is going to be on my favorite Eye Brows kit by Too Faced. Available to purchase here. I bought mine on a special price as I used my student discount from ASOS. I was asked by quite a few of my reader and friends about what do I use on my eye brows so this is what I use :)

About the product:

Too Faced Brow Envy kit contains perfect brows and instant attitude.
Be envied for your gorgeous brows with 'Brow Envy', 'Too Faced's fool-proof kit that will have you arched. Defined and framed like a star! Stop dreaming about having celebrity styled brows; have them! You'll be the envy of the A-List.

Kit contains:
  • Brow Setting Wax
  • Highlighter
  • 2 Brow Powder / Shades (Blonde and Brunette)
  • Tweezer
  • 2 x Mini Brushes
  • 3x Plastic Brwo Stencils
  • 1 x Brow Pencil

How to use it?

So, inside the kit the top lid contains instruction step by step which you can follow to achieve the perfect brows. However I don't tend to use the stencil as it doesn't match up with my Eye Brows shape and therefore I shaping my brows with the pencil.

My first step it use the highlighter around the brows area to start with, reason why because, it gives me the freedom to use the Brunette powder shade afterwoods without creating a mess around the brows.

Secondly, I use the Brow Pencil to shape my brows.

Thirdly, I use the brush to start blending it in with Brunette powder shadow to fill up the brows.

Lastly, I use (sometime) the wax to set my brows.

Top picture shows my natural brows before applying the brows kit and the bottom one shows after application :)

Overall, I LOVE this kit not only because it's pretty and contains quite a few items to play with but also the fact that It stays all day and looks very natural (depending on how much you apply). I had so many compliments on my eye brows and was asked what I use hence I thought the review was necessary :).
I give this product 4 out of 5
