••• Glossy Box July 2013 UK •••

Hello everyone! I've received my July GlossyBox a few days ago and took picture straight away to blog about it but I was really busy with work (been doing lots of over time to pay off my credit card bill and the damaged caused by going shopping and buying lots of make-up ..hehe ) but anyone, moving on to the box...

This month's box is really pretty and under water kind of themed called 'Seaside Splash' which you can see from the picture. I am very fond of pretty packaging as you know ;)

Moving on to the contents ....

The box felt really heavy as this month's box contents some lovely sized products to try at home. As always, there were many variety this month and I think I got the 2nd best one.

First product is a CIATE full sized nail polish in the shade 'The Gossip' £13

This nail polish paid for the box itself and the colour is really pretty. I am happy with the product and the shade I've received. There were few others which I didn't really want as I already own some of them.

Coola Mineral Sunscreen tinted moisturizer 7ml

Perfect for summer! and it's tinted! the only problem was the sample was quite small but I'm not complaining about it as I found a good use out of it as put it straight into my handbag. In this hot weather, I don't want to put too much make-up on my face but at the same time I won't dare going out without putting any make-up on and therefore tinted moisturisers are perfect! The product is organic and retails for £29.99 which is quite expensive and therefore I'm excited to try it.

Banboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist

Product size received 25ml so good enough to try out. You are meant to spray this product on dry hair from roots to ends and shape with fingers for a loose, toucled style. It hasn't acutally done anything on my hair and therefor I'll try again on wet hair to see if the product settles in. Full size retails for £23.

Anatomicals spray misty facial spritz

Another very good sized product in this box, infact it's full size! which retails for £6. I'm not a fond of this brand and didn't like the smell of it. I've however kept this product in my car to refresh on the move :)

Inecto pure coconut Dry Shampoo

Another full sized product in this month's box 150ml which retails for £2.49. I'm a fan of dry shampoos since it's been out and loyal Batiste user. This product however smells really nice and does it's job. But to be honest, I'd rather receive those Sleek paint pots that I've seen in other people's box and thought it was a little unfair :(

Overall, the was impressive and nice selection of products which are perfect for this summer. I've been quite unlucky for the last few months and not been getting the best box out of the variation but I'm hopeful for August one :)

what do you think of this box?

•••• GLAM GURU BOX JULY ••••

This morning I have received my 3rd Glam Guru Box (No.4) I was excited as I loved the past boxes by them. Those of my blog readers who don't know about Glam Guru:
It's a Beauty Box provider from Israel and it's not a running subcription. Everytime they have their box available for sale (every month) they'd email you if you're subscribed to them or alternatively, you can checkout their website: here

You can email them for prices and they're very helpful and quick at replying.

This month's Glam Guru didn't have their usual Black Box however, they provided a clear pink cosmetic bag instead which was quite cool and I rather receive cosmetic bag than a box as they take so much space.

Now lets look at the contents for Glam Guru July:

The Contents:

  • Jasmin Extrait d'huile de perfume 30ml
  • Senscience smooth shampoo for fizzy hair 50ml
  • Simply be well Body Cream 28g
  • San Francisco Sugared Citrus Shower Gel 44ml
  • OFRA Eyeliner Medical Marker Eyeliner full size
  • Emerald Bay Dark Tanning Lotion 15ml sachet

  • Jasmin Extrait d'huile de perfume 30ml: I am not really into anything contains oil however this product smells amazing but can be a bit too strong. I washed my hand after spraying and I could still smell it. This is the favourite product of mine from this month's Glam Guru.
  • Senscience smooth shampoo for fizzy hair 50ml: I have oily/greasy hair and therefore have to wash my hair every other day but I wouldn't think this shampoo is suitable for me as it's for fizzy hair. I might have to pass it on to someone else.

  • Simply be well Body Cream 28g: This product contains 20% Organic shea butter. The product smells like it was in stock for ages and therefore started stinking a bit. I might be totally wrong but I just didn't like this product at all! I'll keep this body butter to use as a handcream instead on my work desk for everyone's use.
  • San Francisco Sugared Citrus Shower Gel 44ml: This product indeed smells like Citrus and fruity. It's a moisturising shower gel gently cleanses while the beautyfully scented fragrance of sugared Citrus leaves your skin delicately scented and refreshed. I agree with it. After wash, I could still smell it on my skin.

  • OFRA Eyeliner Medical Marker Eyeliner full size: This product is suitable for eyes and lips. rrp around $10. I wouldn't say this eyeliner has the best in terms of pigmentation. I had to do 3 coats on the picture shown above. It's more mattier than creamy.
  • Emerald Bay Dark Tanning Lotion 15ml sachet: I haven't and won't trt this product simply because I don't do tanning due to be blessed with brown complexion by default haha but the product sounds like fun as it contains bronzer.

Overall, I am happy with the box but my expection was higher as the last few boxes I received previously were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I'll use 2 or 3 products out of 6 but I hope August one would be far better than this and will use everything they include in the box.

What did you received in your Glam Guru?
What's your thought?

•••• Beauteco Beauty Box June 2013 ••••

I received my first Beautecobox through the mail yesterday and was surprised how quick the delivery was! Beautecobox is fairly a new Beauty Box sample provider company in the UK. I think it's been out for good few months and I have been keeping an eye to subscribe.

Every month, they open their boutique and you have 3 different boxes to choose from so you get to see what you are receiving rather than it being a surprise. No tiny samples or sachets (which I dislike), I went for box No. 2 for June'13.

Here are the contents:

As you can see, the box is quite full and I like the colour of shredding papaer and the fact that it's all natural. I received 2 extra products as had an promotional email for 1st time subscriber so I quickly signed up for it :)

  • Balance Me Wonder eye cream RRP 15ML/£20 (available to purchase here): I had received over 20 balance me products  in many other different Beauty Boxes, Magazines and I never had bought anything from Balance Me only because I never run out of the products. I have tried this product before and not a fan.
  • Headline Colours Glamour Nail Polish RRP £9 (available to purchase here): I discovered this brand through Glossybox a few months ago where they included one of the shade in the box and I absolutely love this brand now! Will be buying other shades in the near future.

The next 3 items:
  • Organic Surge Gentle Cleansing Lotion RRP 200ml/£5.99 (available to purchase here)  I have seen this brand around for sometime however never actually have owned anything from this brand. It's a huge bottle and love the fact that it's organic however I am not so keen trying organic products simply because I don't like the smell. I currenty use Estee Lauder Foam Cleanser and noticed my other half has been using it and hopefully I can ask him to use this cleansing lotion to stop him using my product lol.
  • Amie New Leaf Skin Exfoliating Polish RRP 75ML/£4.99 (available to purchase here): This is a full size product. I have tried a cooling clay mask from this brand before and quite liked it. This smells like mango and I can honestly eat it (haha). It's soap free and helps clearing dead skin surface skin cells that can dull the complexion. I'll definitely give this a go.
  • Eves of St Agnes Body Balm RRP £12 (available to purchase here): It's meant to be a Rose and Mango butter however as Rose has strong scent, it has overshadowed the Mango scent. So I can only smell rose. I have tested the product and thought it has very oily texture which I don't like and won't repurchase for that reason.

The last two products (certainly not the least) I have recieved as an extra for subscribing through their promotional email.

  • Melvita Ultra Nourishing Cream RRP £27/40ml
  • Dr Bragi Age Management Moisturiser RRP £120/60ml

Overall, if you're a skin care product fan then I highly recommend this box to you but if you are more into trying new make up products then it's probably not the best option, however the'll be changing their products every month so you never know, they might include some awesome make-up products too. I thought this box was worth the money with some lovely selection of products.

•••• BIRCH BOX JUNE 2013 ••••

Here I have my BirchBox June 2013 to share with you. I know! It's very late and I'm extremely sorry about that. I took pictures straight away but forgot to blog about it. But anyway , I won't make it long and here are the contents:

As you can see, BirchBox's look has changed a little, they have also included some postcards which is very nice of them. Along with a pillow box with an extra nail polish to give away. The draw string bag's colour has also changed.

The contents:
  • Beauty Protector
  • Colour Club Nail Polish x2
  • Coola Classic Face Cucumber
  • Laura Geller Beauty Gel Liner
  • Noble Isle Bath and Shower Gel

  • Beauty Protector spray: I must say, I struggles with the application as it wasn't spraying  but I eventually got it to work, did anyone else have the same problem? I used this product once but haven't seen much difference so maybe I wasn't using it correctly. This product is exclusive to Birchbox.
  • Coola Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber: This is a perfect product for me as I like any face cream that contains cucumber. It also has SPF and perfect for this summer.

  • Noble Isle Bath and Shower Gel: I was excited to see this product in my box only becuase I have never tried this product before but seen people being crazy about it. This product was in  Glossy Box before however I wasn't a subscriber that time. It smells lovely and I am saving this product to take on holiday :)
  • Laura Geller Beauty Gel Liner: I have received this product for the 2nd time so this will be in my 'give away' list. Read my review on this product here

  • Colour Club Wanderlust Collection Nail Polish: I have to to thank BirchBox for sending us 2 nail polishes in June's box although one to give away to friends and family (I think). I received Reign in Spain and Pardon my French shades and both are lovely. They are quite good quality however I have heard many people saying it wasn't as great but I honestly didn't think it was that bad.

Overall, I really liked BirchBox June UK  2013, thought they put a great selection of products and all my sorts of stuff. I returned my GlossyBox for refund as I was unhappy and that was the reason why I didn't review it. Discovered some brands that I have never heard of before or I did but never tried them so I'd like to give BirchBox June 4 out of 5 stars.
